The BizBark for Shelters Portal is a simple, easy-to-use interface that works on a laptop, tablet or phone that shelter operators can use to manage employees, adoptees and communications. It can save busy shelter employees and volunteers time. It’s designed to provide animal shelters with the tools to empower new pet parents with information on their new pets and support successful adoptions.

The basic version of BizBark for Shelters is free. To upgrade to the BizBark Shelter integration system that works with your existing system, there is a $49.95/month subscription fee with the first 3 months free. The integration system allows complete record and data transfer upon adoption, shelter management systems sync with Shelter Buddy and Chameleon, and access to the Pet Dashboards where you can share health and medical information with adoptive pet parents. There is no limitation on the number of pets or activity of your shelter. You can cancel at any time.
BabelBark for Pet Parents
The BabelBark app provides pet parents with support to manage their pets’ happy and healthy lives. It’s available as a free download on iTunes and Google Play. The mobile app helps parents set and manage fitness goals, create medication/vaccination reminders, schedule appointments, store medical records, manage weight, and much more.
They can stay connected with you, and get connected with their veterinarian and favorite pet businesses to create an extended virtual family dedicated to caring for their pet.
The BabelBark app is NOT required for you to use BizBark for Shelters. You can, however, connect more closely with pet parents who have the app to make the transfer of medical records seamless and the monitoring support of the pet’s health and activity to promote a successful adoption. They can also contact you directly thru their BabelBark app on the BizBark for Shelters Dashboard.
BizBark for Shelters Portal
The BizBark for Shelters Portal is a secure online website. All you need is an Internet connection to access it. You can manage your contact information, logo, operating hours, and other shelter information through the portal. You can even publish communications to the BabelBark app for pet parents, including events, recent news, and caregiving tips. The portal even lets prospective adoptees request and schedule appointments.
The BizBark for Shelters Portal is built with HTML 5, which means it will run on any device including laptops, desktops, tablets, and phones. Additionally, BizBark automatically detects what type of device you’re using and optimizes your experience for that device.

BizBark has partnered with Sikka Software to provide connectivity through their secure Sikka Software Platform. Sikka Software provides their partners with connectivity to human-grade, HIPAA and HITECH compliant systems for dentists, veterinarians, optometrists, and audiologists. The Sikka platform integrates with many shelter management systems. The shelter registers their business thru Sikka to connect to the shelter management software, then selects the BizBark application. Your current shelter management system data is then pulled into BizBark to optimize usability. Shelters can easily un-install the Sikka platform at any time. However, if they do uninstall the platform they lose connectivity to all other Sikka apps and Sikka partner apps.
BizBark for Shelters is designed from the ground up to integrate with other systems. You can even migrate another account to BizBark for Shelters using the built-in import templates, or we can do it for you. Just contact us a email@example.com for questions and support.
Any information entered into BizBark for Shelters belongs to you. We will not use or access your information without express permission. Information entered into the mobile app by pet parents belongs to them. Everybody within the BabelBark community owns their respective data and must explicitly choose to share it with other members. So, for example, a pet’s vaccination records are shared by the shelter with a pet parent who in turn shares with their new veterinarian through their BabelVet Dashboard, or via a PDF. You don’t have to be a member of the BabelBark community to share or access information, however membership makes it much easier. By seamlessly sharing the right information with the right person, we can help ensure the happiness and health of each pet while connecting you more closely with pet parents.
All pet owner and pet data is stored in Amazon Web Service (AWS) global cloud infrastructure which is compliant with the following industry standards:
